How does the difficulty matching work?
HearBrew uses an adaptive algorithm based on Krashen's i+1 theory. It analyzes your vocabulary level and learning history, then selects clips that are slightly above your current ability — challenging enough to learn new words, but easy enough to follow along.
Can I use HearBrew offline?
Currently, HearBrew requires an internet connection to stream video clips and sync your learning progress. We're exploring offline features for future updates.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
Your subscription is managed through Apple. Go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your iPhone, find HearBrew, and tap Cancel Subscription. Your Pro access will continue until the end of your current billing period.
What English levels does HearBrew support?
HearBrew supports learners from beginner (A1) to advanced (C1) levels. When you first sign up, we'll assess your level and start recommending content accordingly. The algorithm adjusts as you learn.
How is my learning progress tracked?
Every word you interact with is recorded in your vocabulary book. HearBrew tracks words you've learned, words in progress, and words you're struggling with. This data powers both the spaced repetition system and the content recommendation engine.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. You can request account deletion by contacting us at support@hearbrew.com. All your personal data will be deleted within 30 days of your request, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
